An Engineering Approach
What does this mean? Well, imagine that while typing an email, you meant to type the word "my" but instead typed "mu". Of course, "mu" would appear on your monitor. Common sense tells you to trace the problem back to its origin. You would then simply backspace once and type "y". Problem solved. Congratulations... that makes you an engineer of sorts!
Faced with the same problem and based on what we've seen from the medical and research communities, they would dismantle the monitor and examine every circuit. They may even replace some or most of the components but when they plug it back in, "mu" will still be displayed. They will be totally baffled and compelled to repeat the process indefinitely.

About The Author
Having been involved in technology for the last 40 years, I'm intrigued by how things work and the engineering behind it. It was no different with autism. With my first exposure, autism became a puzzle I was driven to understand. My search led only to frustration because the cause remained a total mystery.
To me, this became an engineering challenge. Autism is an outcome, but of what origin? Why are most diagnoses made prior to age three? The brain is an infinitely sophisticated computer of sorts, so what is its mission (programming) during those first three years? Why would the outcome miss the target? How does the brain's mission change after age three?
Tracing backwards to gain an understanding of the developing brain's mission, I discovered that the current avenues of research were entirely misguided, rather like searching for a lost child in the wrong forest. Autism is not at all a genetic, medical, or dietary problem, so research to those ends can never reveal anything conclusive... and it hasn't!
The early chapters provide the foundation, including real-world examples you'll find familiar. The dots are then connected to reveal the theory, closing with simple and free recommendations that will benefit your entire family.
